130 year old crabapple tree planted by Fr. Ravalli
This crabapple tree planted in the 1800's by Fr. Ravalli continues to bear fruit today. The tree requires a good deal of tender loving care and professional maintenance.  Your donation to the $2 A Month Club contributes to the preservation of this tree which stands as a reminder of the many aspects of agriculture that Father Ravalli taught the Salish people.
Thanks to generous donations and volunteer labor the original church  cross carved by Fr. Ravalli was replaced by a replica.  The original cross is now housed within a glass display case in the Chapel.
Every 2 to 4 years the canvas and poles of a Salish lodge must be replaced as the wind and elements take their toll.  Replacement cost is approximately $1000 per tipi.

I want to join the $2.00 A MONTH CLUB and invest in the future of this Historic Landmark  "Where Montana Began".

The $2 A Month Club began in 2005 as a way for those interested in preserving the history of the early American West to contribute to the restoration and preservation of this historic site.  As a non-profit organization Historic St. Mary's relies on the generosity of donations and sales from the gift shop and events to sustain the cost of operating, preserving and restoring the Mission Complex, as well as providing the opportunity for educational programs.
We do not currently accept credit cards for online donations so we ask that you make your contribution in the form of cash, check or money order.  Thank you.
